Introduction of INNOVATE conference:

Perhaps no region of the world better illustrates the relationship between globalization, engineering, and technology than Asia. Vietnam and Taiwan are rich case studies of how countries are using technology as an economic catalyst. Vietnam has an ambitious goal of becoming a developed economy by 2020, and Ho Chi Minh City is perhaps the best venue to observe the challenges of becoming a modern city while preserving the cultural past. Taiwan’s pursuit of an open, efficient and internationally competitive economy started with the initiation of the Corporate Globalization Policy in 1984 and has contributed greatly to the island’s remarkable economic growth in highly advanced and diversified industries.
